Guild shows 2008

Thank you to everyone who made the recently held Kettering Show so successful. Attendances were up by a good eighty over last year and many more of these were non-members, perhaps considering a move into the senior scale. Thank you also to all the layout owners and operators, the demonstrators, the societies and of course the trade contingent who all contributed in their own way to make my task that much easier on the day.

Halifax is the next show, taking place on the 7th of June and preparations are already well advanced for what promises to be another good event. Some stunning layouts have been booked to attend and the trade, societies and demonstrators are all well represented once again. I hope to have a full trade list published and available on the website within a matter of days.

Guildex at Telford (6th & 7th of September) is in the early planning stages and applications to attend are effectively closed while the floorplan is sketched out. However if you as a trader, demonstrator or society feel you have something to offer the Guild and it's membership, I'll be only to happy to hear from you. I already have a number of first time traders due to attend with different innovations applicable to the hobby, and space permitting I'll certainly consider one or two others.

I hope that those who went, enjoyed the Kettering event and I'll look forward to seeing many of you up in Halifax in a few weeks time.
