Displays of Guild members’ models at Guildex 2010
Flying Scotsmen
A number of Guild members are building Flying Scotsmen from the Hachette partwork. If you are one of them, this is your chance to display your work and meet some of your fellow builders. Bring your model along, in whatever state of completion, to the Technical Committee stand on Sunday. We’ll display it with all the rest, and there will also be a Scottie-builders get-together at the stand at 12 noon.
Past competition winners
Some splendid and inspiring models have been prize-winners in the modelling competition in past years, but most people will have seen them only briefly, and they deserve another showing. If you are a past prize-winner (no matter how long ago), bring your model along to the Technical Committee stand on Sunday and let everyone have another chance to admire it.

If you have recently completed a model, eg loco, coach, wagon or station building, then please consider entering the competition. A form was included in the latest Guild news.

please note that there is a complementary shuttle bus to and from Telford Central Railway Station throughout the exhibition from 8.00 am to 18.00 Saturday and 9.00 to 17.00 Sunday.
There will be a Pavement Sign outside the Railway station and visitors to the show can ring 01952 281500 to ensure they are picked up promptly.

Advance notice: the 23rd American and Continental 0-Gauge Meeting, better known to those in a hurry to get a great Full English Breakfast as The Winchester Meet, will be held on Saturday October 16th 2010 in the usual venue - King's School Winchester.
Apart from Tim's great refreshments, attractions will include 2- and 3-rail test tracks, non-UK layouts in scales from around 1:43 to 1:50, traders, Society displays and bring and buy tables. Exhibitor enquiries welcome.

Despite the misalignment in one of the listings in the newsletter, the LANGLEY show date is definitely Sunday 31 OCTOBER!
This year's show is the 24th presented by the West London Group. The date of Sunday 31 October is a little earlier than usual to fit in with availability of our usual hall and to try to avoid other local shows of O Gauge interest.
The venue is Langley Community College, Langley Road, Langley, near Slough, SL3 8BS; admission times 10am to 4.30pm, admission £4 (ladies and accompanied juniors free). Expect the usual mix of layouts and traders, bring and buy, light refreshments and, of course, the test track including live steam. |
